Who Is South Windsor Youth Soccer Club?
South Windsor Youth Soccer Club was established in 2005 as an alternate location to play for players in South Windsor and surrounding areas
What is the cost to register my child / children? .
Our club mission is “Fun, Fitness and Fair Play for All Skill Levels”. We are focused on giving all children interested in playing soccer a place to play regardless of their experience or skill level.Registration fees are $125.00 per child. Families that register 3 or more children from the same household will be entitled to a family discount.
What is included in the registration fee?
The $125.00 registration fee includes a soccer kit including team jersey, matching shorts and soccer socks, approximately 12 games (weather permitting), a team photo, lunch on the Day of Champions as well as a Champion / Participant medal at the end of the season. Other small soccer related gifts may be given out based on our sponsorship this season.
SWYSC accepts online credit card payment, cash and/or cheque. All Cheques can be made payable to S.W.Y.S.C. and mailed to,S.W.Y.S.C

Outdoor Games are played at Fogolar Furlan Club located at 1800 North Service Rd E, just west of Walker Rd and North of the E.C. Row Expressway. Parking is available. Efforts will be made to ensure games are scheduled on nights when adequate parking is available. Due to multiple events that may occur at the Fogolar Furlan Club, parking will be limited with parking availability on the side of the road.
Indoor Games are played at Central Park Athletics located at the corner of Grand Marais and Central Avenue
Every effort will be made to start the season in the beginning of May, dependent on weather and field conditions. The season will last no later than mid-August.
Game nights will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.Note: SWYSC may need to change game nights based on registration numbers at each age level
U7 – SENIOR Division Game Nights will be posted on April 1st every season.

When are game times?
Weeknights: 6:15pm, 7:20pm
Saturday: 9:00am and 10:15am
How are games structured?
U5 & U6 Divisions:
Games are played 5 vs 5 with no designated goal keeper on a micro sized field. Game time is two 20 min halves with a 5 min break in between. Coaches referee the games and work with the players on the field during the game.
U7 – U10 Divisions:
Games are played 7 vs 7 including a goal keeper on each side. Games are played on a Mini sized field. Game time is two 25 minute halves with a 5 minute break in between.
U12 – U14 Divisions:
Games are played 9 vs 9 including a goal keeper on each side. Game time is two 30 minute halves with a 5 minute break in between.
Senior Divisions:
Games are played 11 vs 11 including a goal keeper on each side.  Game time is two 30 minute halves with a 5 minute break in between.
Do Boys and Girls play together?
U5 & U6: Teams are Co-ed.
U7 – Seniors: Teams will be gender specific.
Where are Practices held and how often?
Each team’s practice times, location, and frequency will be set by SWYSC. SWYSC recommends a 1 hour practice at least once per week (weather dependent).
What if a game or practice is cancelled due to bad weather?
If a practice is cancelled due to bad weather, your coach will reschedule the practice if necessary.If a game is cancelled due to bad weather, efforts will be made to make up the game. Selected Fridays & Saturdays have been assigned for rescheduled games. Unfortunately the season can not go beyond mid August and therefore there is a possibility that some games may not be rescheduled if soccer pitches are not available.SWYSC will make every effort to complete a 12 game season, the soccer season will be reduced to a 10 game season if weather conditions affect playing surfaces which is beyond the control of SWYSC.Note: Bad weather is defined as lightning in the area, heavy rain, or high winds. Games will be played in light rain conditions.
Now that I have registered, when will my coach contact me?We expect to have team rosters to the coaches by the middle of April prior to commencement of the soccer season. You should expect a call within days of the coaches receiving their team rosters. If you have not received a call by  the first week of May please check the SWYSC member zone for information. Does registering with SWYSC allow me to use the Child Fitness Tax Credit?
Yes, SWYSC will provide you with an official receipt that can be used towards the $500 Child Fitness Tax Credit limit. Receipts can be printed from your account within the SWYSC Member’s Zone. For more information on this tax credit visit: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/whtsnw/fitness-eng.html
Are you looking for Coaches?Yes. With the growing number of children interested in playing soccer, there is a higher demand for coaches. If you or anyone you know is interested in coaching, please fill out the online form.Some benefits of coaching are: you can select your child and two friends to be on the team and you set practice times and locations.Coaches will be required to obtain a police clearance in which the fee will be reimbursed by SWYSC.Community service hours will be given to high school students looking to meet their 40 hour requirements.
Are you looking for volunteers other than coaches?Yes. There are several ways in which you can help the club by volunteering your time.Contact us by filling out the online form to express your interest and to discuss possible roles you can support.Community service hours will be given to high school students looking to meet their 40 hour requirements.
Are you looking for team sponsorship?
Yes. Corporate sponsorship is key to us providing the lowest possible fees to our players. If your company is willing to sponsor a team in our club, please contact us by email, admin@swysc.ca for more information, or visit our sponsorship opportunities page on our website.
Can I make special requests for which team my children plays on?
SWYSC does not guarantee any special requests will be honoured. However, accommodations have been made for extraordinary circumstances like twins, siblings within same division, and extended families to ensure these players are placed on the same team.
Do you charge late fees?
SWYSC does not have a policy for charging late fees. We do however have a limited amount of spaces available. If you do not register early, you may miss out. If your age group is full you will be placed on a waiting list until a spot on the team becomes available (If one becomes available)
Do you have picture days for individual player pictures?
SWYSC will contract a local sports team photography company to come on site to take individual and team photos. It is the responsibility of the photography company to organize the picture day and to provide the pictures you have paid for.SWYSC is not involved with the purchase agreement between you and the photography company. We will make every effort to provide you with the best and most reputable photography company available.
Are there any programs for families that are financially disadvantaged?
